People Operations Specialist (HR)

Location: Irvine, CA

Pay: $45-55/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Type: Temp-to-Hire

MUST HAVE SEVERAL YEARS OF RELEVANT HR EXPERIENCE

We are seeking a polished and people-focused People Operations Specialist to support a fast-paced HR team. This individual will serve as the face of the organization, delivering a high-touch, white-glove onboarding experience while supporting core HR operations. Key Responsibilities

Employee Support & Experience

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries across HR support channels, ensuring timely and professional responses
  • Deliver a warm, polished, white-glove onboarding experience for all new hires
  • Lead engaging new hire orientation sessions covering company policies, benefits, and resources
  • Support employee programs such as recognition and anniversary initiatives

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and consistent experience
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, IT, Payroll, and Benefits teams
  • Monitor background checks and follow up or escalate as needed

HCM & Data Administration

  • Maintain and update employee data throughout the full lifecycle (onboarding through offboarding)
  • Coordinate payroll-related updates and ensure accuracy in partnership with Payroll
  • Support benefits-related employee changes and documentation
  • Prepare employee letters and HR documentation in alignment with policies

Compliance & Operations

  • Maintain accurate HR records in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Support audit readiness and compliance reporting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization
  • Assist with HR projects, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of HR or People Operations experience
  • Experience with ADP required; HireRight preferred
